Exceedingly Great Joy☀️

Hi 👋

That's the text we receive from Jeziel every morning, and I'm running out of intros so there ya go.

This week was pretty chill, nothing too exciting! We did a lot of contacting and finding, it's crazy how much work can be done when we don't have additional study lol.

Highlights of the week:

☆ We had a lot of impromptu phone call lessons! We'd call people to set up times and lots of people had time in that moment, which is always the best.

☆ Sister Gadd is so awesome and we're having a great time down here. 🥳 We've discovered that we both have a love for Les Misérables so the one song we have from the soundtrack may have been playing nonstop for the past week.

☆ We're having another music devotional and Sister Gadd and I are going to be playing a piano duet for some sisters who are singing and it's going to be super pretty (hopefully…haven't actually heard any of it🤞)

☆ We hit the highest temperature we've had this summer (I think) of 112°, 🥵 which might not sound like a highlight, but last summer was in the 120's so while we are melting, it's not as bad and everyone is super grateful.

Honestly, nothing big happened this past week, but it was such a good one because it was one of those weeks where it's just so fun to do the work. To go out and talk to everyone, to chase people down, to invite people to come to church, it's so awesome!! It reminded me of this scripture in Alma 36:24-25 that says, "Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto repentance; that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be born of God, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Yea, and now behold, O my son, the Lord doth give me exceedingly great joy in... my labors." It's so true! Sister Gadd and I were talking about how much happier the mission has made us, and it's because of this work! Nothing will bring more joy than bringing others to the gospel and I have the strongest testimony of that.
