Hola!
This week was super fun, and we had some cool things going on!
☆ On Wednesday I had an exchange with Sister Pope in my dream area, and it was so fun. Sister Pope, as we know, is just the best ever, and the area is literally amazing. We put 2 people on date and I'm praying with my whole heart that President sends me there for my last 2 transfers. 🙏
☆ On Friday I had 2 blitzes with 3 different sisters which was kinda crazy, but it was super fun!! Also, WE SAW DONKEYS. 🫏 That might not seem super thrilling to any of you, but Vegas has 0 wildlife except for in the boonies where there are wild donkeys, and we saw some on our way out there! It was awesome.
☆ We had a meeting with a visiting authority, Elder Schmitt, and it was super cool. He was the nicest person ever, so smart, and he had so many good ideas for us of how to keep the mission momentum going and keep things moving forward. Definitely the highlight of the week!
☆ Jeziel is just a highlight every week, haha. He comes to every lesson or calls in, he's giving our friends rides to church, he's trying to put people on date, he's just the best ever. And he's going to hopefully get his patriarchal blessing within the next month so I'm super excited for him!!
There were 2 things that Elder Schmitt shared that I loved so I'm sharing them both. The first thing that Elder Schmitt shared this weekend was in Matthew 28:18. It says, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." He talked about how lots of times we doubt ourselves and the power and authority of our calling, but we have to remember whose power it is. We have to know that Christ is the source of our power and that through Him, all things are possible.
And then the second thing was in Moroni 10:32 which says, "Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God." He talked about how it's only through Jesus that we can be perfected and that the equation is: You + Jesus = Perfect.
