This week was amazing! To be honest, this area has kinda been a struggle and we really haven't seen much success since we got here. The elders have been sending us literally anything that comes their way and people that have been taught in the past because they felt bad, and this week it was actually crazy how many of them turned out to be promising.
☆ First is Jeziel! He heard about soccer nights and wanted to come, so we asked him to do a church tour before soccer, and he said yes! We had a church tour with him, but he had a headache, so he didn't seem totally interested. We show up to church on Sunday, and he literally is already inside with his Book of Mormon that our member gave him!! It was amazing and the ward did an awesome job fellowshipping him so now he's coming to every activity that's happening this week. 💪
☆ Rosibel! She was found by english elders, sent to the elders that ward-share with us, they sent her to us. We called her, had a lesson that was super awesome, and then we've been trying to invite everyone to baptism, so we brought it up and she said she wanted to be baptized!! We set a date with her, and now we're helping her get there. 🌊
☆ Tony! Tony showed up at night church 2 weeks ago and said that missionaries from our ward invited him, but neither us nor the elders had invited him. We started teaching him and he's awesome. He wants to grow closer to God and said he'd be baptized once he learned more! 🥳
Besides the friends and lessons, we were able to have this week, another big highlight of the week was the music devotional! It was so powerful, and the Spirit was so strong the entire time. I got to play piano too so that's always a win. 🎹
The first hymn we sang was Amazing Grace, and the last line of the 3rd verse stuck out to me. It says, "His grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home." It goes along with one of my favorite scriptures, Acts 15:11, which says, "But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they." Christ's grace is always there. It is the thing that will save us, in spite of all we do. However, for us to receive that grace, we have to put in all of our effort! It isn't something that is just waiting for us, but something we have to work for each day!
Nothing too exciting this next week! Transfers coming up and missionaries and the Nielsens leaving, so it might be a rough one. Pray hard🙏
Love y'all and have a good week!
