One of our finding tactics this week (we were really trying everything) was to walk around the parking lot of a Spanish supermarket and literally invite everyone to church and offer them pictures of Jesus. I think Sister Kamp maybe wanted to kill me and hated every second of it, but we ended up talking to 60 people in 30 minutes, so I'd say it was worth it. We had a mission-wide challenge to invite literally everyone to church, and last night they told us that 6300 people were invited! 🥳 Crazy!
Some exciting things:
☆ We're going to the temple with Paola this Saturday!!! Literally so excited! It’s going to be amazing.
☆ It's the last week of the transfer! I think/hope I'll be staying here with Sister Kamp, but we'll see. 🤞
☆ Had amazing food this week. We had birria tacos, jambalaya, 5 different kinds of empanadas, arepas, it was all so good. And froyo for weekly planning. 🌮
☆ We actually did a district activity and went bowling last week which was way fun (partially cause I won). 💪
☆ We had a text lesson for the first time (you literally just text the lesson and they reply and you have a member in the group chat) and I was kinda skeptical about it but it worked so well and our friend said she loved it and it was perfect for her busy schedule.
Something I loved this week in my personal study was 2 Nephi 18:17 which says, "And I will wait upon the Lord... and I will look for Him." I really liked where it said, "I will look for Him," because it's not just enough for us to wait for the Lord. We always have to be actively looking for Him and having that faith that He's there, even if we might not to be able to recognize it! We're always receiving so many blessings and miracles, but a lot of times we don't recognize them because we aren't looking for them. Our zone leaders challenged us to send a miracle into the group chat every time we see one this transfer, and it's honestly been so cool because we've recognized so many little things and blessings that I honestly don't think I would have noticed otherwise. Always be looking for the Lord in your life and be grateful for all that He's given you!
Hope you all have the best week! Pray that Sister Kamp and I stay here together, and please pray for Sister Glauser that everything can go well! Love you all!
