Letter 29: ✨️Miracles✨

Hello everyone! This week was not the most thrilling due to illnesses and orientations, but we saw some major miracles and for the time that we were outside, there were so many blessings.

1. We met a new friend named Kristofer who might be the most elect person ever. Kristofer was a media referral, and so we just decided to go knock on his door. He answers, we chat a little bit, but he says that right then wasn't a good time because he's about to have a meeting. We scheduled a time to come back, and we leave to go make more visits. About 20 minutes later, he calls to tell us the meeting was canceled so if we're still close by, we can come back. We go back obviously, have a little doorstep lesson with him, and invite him to night church in an hour. He says he'll be there, and we're all a little taken aback by how easy this is. We go to the church, trying to keep our expectations low, but Kristofer literally showed up at 6:55 and came to night church!! An hour after we met him!! That has literally never happened to me on my mission so that was so cool! Apparently, he's been meeting with missionaries for 2 years, so maybe this is now Kristofer's time🙏

2. We had 3 lessons with Beatriz!🥳 This is a miracle in itself because even getting 1 lesson with her in a week has been super hard, but her new job is a blessing for all of us because her schedule works for lessons now. She's still progressing towards baptism and is apparently telling her coworkers that she's getting baptized on February 1st, so everything seems to be running smoothly.

3. We met another media referral this week named Jordan! We stopped by his house, the guy on the porch said he didn't think Jordan was home, so we said that we'd come back. As we're driving away, a guy came out on the porch and all of us were like, "That's Jordan." So, we flip around, get back out, and sure enough, it was Jordan! The best part about him is that he was found through an English class referral, but he said he didn't want English classes and just wanted to learn more about the church (also literally has never happened). He took a Book of Mormon, was super nice, and said he'll come to church!

My favorite quote this week was by Elder Christofferson in his talk "One in Christ." He said, "It is only in and through our individual loyalty to and love of Jesus Christ that we can hope to be one." Being in a trio is such a crazy adjustment from having just 1 companion, and finding a balance in everything has been a little bit of a challenge. However, what we've noticed this week is that when we have the same focus and same purpose, the differences don't matter, and we can be one. When we're focused on Christ and are striving to be like Him, that's when we can achieve that unity that is expected among His children.

That's all for this week! We saw so many miracles and even though we honestly were outside for like 2 days in total, we were blessed with the amount of people we were able to meet and talk to and the lessons that we were able to have. Hope you're all living your best lives and thank you for always reaching out! Love you all.

Sorry for the lack of pics, we genuinely were never outside this week and there was nothing too exciting that merited a picture.
