Letter #15: TRANSFERS 😱

Hey everyone!

This email will be shorter because it's transfers today and they're going to be hectic! So let me tell you what's happening first off:

Sister Glauser is unfortunately leaving the area, and our dynamic duo/sistership/life of the party was split up. It's okay though, she's going to start petitioning Sister Nielsen to put us back together for her last transfer.

I get to stay in my area!!! I was so happy when the Zone Leader said that. In my head, I was like, "You know what, I don't actually care what happens because at least I'm staying." Wrong! I jinxed myself. The ZL gave me a couple of assignments, one of which is training this transfer! That's so terrifying to me and I'm sincerely asking all of you to pray for me and my new comp because this already feels slightly catastrophic. But it'll be so good and fun, I'm actually really excited, just slightly scared. Okay, more than slightly scared.

Best memories of this week:

- District temple trip last Pday!! It was so amazing to go to the temple for the first time since I've been here, and it was such a Spirit-filled experience. It was so fun to be there with all these amazing friends that I've made on the mission too, or "celestial friends" as the elders say.

- MAILIN IS ON DATE!!! We finally got in contact with her again after she's kinda been MIA for a few weeks, and we decided to full send, and she said yes!!! It was actually such an amazing lesson and Sister Glauser and I are so happy for her. We found her the first week of my first transfer, so this has now been 2 transfers‘ worth of teaching her, and she's finally getting baptized in November. Everyone pray super hard that it actually happens!

- We had our Dia de la Familia party on Saturday! We got to stand next to a bounce house for 5 hours and stop kids from going in the wrong one for their age, but luckily, it was shady and I think it was only like 95 on Friday or something chilly like that.🥶 I'm actually terrified to go back to a Utah winter because we hit 83 today and Sister Glauser and I thought it was cold, so I think I might be ruined.

I think that's kind of all for this week! It was a really good last week of the transfer and there were so many blessings and miracles that we were able to see. I'm so glad I'm staying with another stacked district, but I'm actually heartbroken about Sister Glauser. Wish my Trainee and me good luck and please, please pray for us.

Love you all and hope you're all doing well!
